Electrifying Comeback For Novice Otters
The Huntsville Novice Rep Otters were back in action Saturday afternoon as they welcomed the Parry Sound Shamrocks to the Jack Bionda arena. Hungry for their first win of the season, the young Otters put on quite a show for their fans.

The Otters opened the scoring in the first period when Logan Therrien, assisted by blue-liner Cohen Poore, netted a well-placed backhand shot past the Shamrock goaltender.

But the Shamrocks wouldn't back down and midway through the second period, the Parry Sound offense snapped a couple of their own unanswered tallies into the back of the Otters net to double their lead to 3-1.

Down by two heading into the third period, the Novice Otters showed great determination with countless offensive attempts by forwards Abbigail Huke, Blake Punchard and Jesse Taylor. The scrappy Otters forwards caused havoc in the Shamrocks end allowing Jackson Durnan to streak in all alone and poke one past the goalie to bring the team within one.

As the time clock ticked down, Otters net minder Ian Adams stood on his head to keep his team in the game turning away shot after shot from the Shamrock attackers. Adams stellar performance had the electrified crowd screaming OMG! “One Mighty Goalie”!

In the final minutes of the game, Preston “Out”Standing capped off the exciting third period comeback when he punched the puck into the back of the Shamrock net to knot the game at three apiece. The spirited contest was the first meeting between the two teams this season.

Next up, the Otters are slated to trek south to tangle with the South Muskoka Bears at the Bracebridge Memorial Arena on Saturday October 6th at 3:00.

Go Otters!
