OMHA's Zero Tolerance Policy Reminder
It's time to reinforce the values that make our
hockey community strong! We've noticed an increase in unsportsmanlike behavior,
and it's time for a friendly reminder.
The OMHA has a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for
derogatory comments or gestures from players, coaches, and parents.
If a player's "you suck" comment, for example, is
caught by the refs, it's an automatic 10-minute penalty. Let's keep it clean on
the ice!
Parents/Spectators, your support is crucial, but
inappropriate comments have no place here. You'll be kindly asked to leave if
things go out of bounds. Let's be the positive role models our young athletes
need!
Referees are on the lookout, and they've been
instructed to address this issue closely. Fair play and respect make the game
enjoyable for everyone.
Let's create an atmosphere of camaraderie,
sportsmanship, and fun!
