Otters Split the Opening Season
The Atom Rep's official season kicked off on Saturday when the team travelled (in amazing weather) to Collingwood to take on the Blackhawks.
The Blackhawks came out hard on the puck and quickly found the back of the net. Collingwood continued with constant pressure and dominated the game. A late goal in the third finally saw the Otters on the board but the damage was done and the Otters came away with an eye-opening 4-1 loss.
The Otters took this learning experience home with them and channelled it into Sunday's game against the Haliburton Storm.
Back on track, they hit the "Jack" hungry for the home win. Hard work both offensively and defensively the team came away with a 3-0 win. High five to Lincoln Buck on his 1st (and hopefully many shut-outs this season). The team will focus on multiple practice drills this week as they prepare for the upcoming 3 games against Parry Sound, Collingwood and Midland.
