Important updates - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
This article contains a significant amount of important information. The schedule for all levels and age groups are posted for the short term now so please refer to the calendar.
Local league evaluation skates begin this weekend. Players names will either be posted or an alphabetical break down provided for each session as soon as Rep tryouts are done so we have a complete list of players and can divide groups into equal numbers. Please make sure you look carefully once posted to be at the right time for your player.
The scheduled times starting Monday October 4 will be the seasons regular practice schedule.
We have a need for coaches and trainers in almost every age group. Some of the upcoming scheduled times may be cancelled or postponed if volunteers do not come forward to help out. This process takes a village and we look for everyone to do their part to help. Please reach out to the designated individuals on our committee under the "about us" tab to offer your assistance.
The arena protocols are such that the Covid assessment form is required every time you visit the building. Here is the link to the form that can be filled out at any time the day of your event prior to your arrival. The earlier the better to help with the efficiency for entry as the town staff have to see it in their system.
All players, family members, spectators etc that are entering the building must do a form individually. The form is not complete when it shows a green enter box, you must complete steps beyond this until you click the bottom blue submit button and a thank you message appears.
If you have not provided your vaccination records for player, parent, guardian, etc please do so to [email protected] as outlined in a previous article. Full vaccination is required by October 31 in order to participate. This means both shots plus 14 days. If your player is not at this point on Oct 31 they are unable to participate until this criteria is met. If you are working towards being vaccinated please let Michele know. All players under 12 will require a vaccinated parent/guardian/chaperone to accompany them for hockey.
The rules for entering the arena are that you must be fully vaccinated as a hockey parent/guardian/chaperone/spectator.
The locker rooms have designated maximums for use posted on the doors so we strongly encourage your player to be as dressed as possible upon arrival to help alleviate any issues of crowding. This is very important for our young skaters who need help with equipment and tying skates.
This website is the main tool for communication so please keep checking for updates. We cannot email from the registration database. We hope each team will have a manager who will collect contact information once teams are made. This is the only way we are allowed to send emails as you have given consent by providing your email address.
We have recently determined that there is a technical fault in the "manage subscriptions" aspect where you sign up to receive notifications. We hope it will be repaired shortly and strongly encourage everyone to make use of this function so as not to miss any information about the season. Please also follow our Facebook page by clicking on the logo under quick links on the left side of the website pages.
Timekeepers are needed. Please contact Penny Wilder if you have a player or child interested in a fun paid job watching hockey games. Penny is listed under the "about us" tab.
Officials are needed. Please contact AJ Johnson if you have a player, child, family member or friend who would like to learn about being a referee/linesman. Our young players need your help to have fun and learn the game.
AJ is listed under the "about us" tab.
Thank you again for your support and cooperation as we navigate the challenges of getting hockey up and running in difficult times.
