Practice schedules up to the Christmas holidays will be posted shortly for all divisions.
U11-U18 game schedules are currently being worked out with games beginning the weekend of November 13th.
As always, please continue to check the schedule on this website for any and all scheduling updates.
We appreciate those of you who have been patient as we work through all the challenges this season has brought to our planning, including the ability to finalize both a practice and game schedule. We have been working really hard to try and create a schedule beyond one week in advance as we know this is desirable for all our volunteers and families (including us).
U7 and U9 divisions will continue to have one ice time per week on Saturday mornings up until the Christmas holidays.
U11-U18 divisions will have a practice ice time during the week. For the divisions with an uneven number of teams in their bubble, practices times will fluctuate to rotate in the stand alone practices, but practice nights should stay the same. Games will be played with teams within your bubble, including South Muskoka and Huntsville teams in all divisions, with Muskoka Rock being included in all U11 bubbles and one U13 bubble. To make the schedules work, there may be some games scheduled during weekday practice times occasionally. In the U18 bubbles we are looking at scheduling games during at least some of the practice time slots as is the common practice in Local League in this division.
We are currently working on team rosters - these are necessary for insurance purposes for all and are crucial to allow teams to participate in games. This is a reminder to all our valued bench staff members - please be certain all your certifications are up to date and complete. If one bench staff member is missing even one piece of their certification, the entire team roster will be rejected.
We know our players are excited to play games, so instead of postponing games another week, we plan to start this weekend even though there is not as much advance notice as may normally happen for game schedules. As soon as these schedules are finalized, we will get them posted.
As many of you are aware, we will be playing a modified format during Stage 3 programming. We will be playing 4 on 4 where attendance supports and 3 on 3 if reduced numbers are in attendance for any given game. I have attached a copy of the rules that will go along with this modified format. In addition to the rules listed, the MPS Local League Game Ejection Rules will also be enforced: 3 minor penalties, double minor head contact penalty or 2 minor body checking penalties will all result in a game ejection.
As this format is new to everyone, we will all learn together. For our U11-U18 teams, we will follow the U12-U21 Game Play Rules:
