COACHES – ENSURE YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS PRIOR TO THE START OF THE SEASON

As a coach, it’s essential that you have received all required certifications and completed courses prior to stand behind the bench. These are the regulations created by Hockey Canada and the Ontario Hockey Federation to ensure that all coaches are trained under uniform guidelines.

STEP 1 :

Check your E-hockey account ensuring that your certification is current. There will be guidelines and details for any expired certification to follow shortly.

STEP 2: All Team Officials are required to Complete the *HU - Planning a Safe.  The link to complete the course is provided here: HU-Online Course

The Locker is the Coaching Association of Canada’s online database. Access to The Locker will provide all coaches with the opportunity to track their progress and guide their development.

  • Coaches can create a log-in and access their Profile and Transcript online -where they can can view/update personal information, coaching records and access printable transcripts.
  • Certification Maintenance & Professional Development points will be tracked on the Coach’s Transcript in ‘The Locker’ and will update the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) Profile when ‘Certified’ status is renewed

THE COACHES - VIRTUAL HOCKEY SUMMIT SEPT. 25-26

  • Coaches who attend the Virtual Hockey Summit will receive 6 PD Points (3 per day).

    Tickets are now on sale for $250 CAD or FREE with the purchase of a The Coaches Site membership ($119.99 CAD). OMHA coaches are encouraged to check their emails for more information.
