HMHA Local League Teams Successful in Playoff Weekend
Submitted By Kelly Farnsworth on Monday, March 9, 2020
This past weekend saw all of our HMHA Local League teams from Major Novice through Midget in MPS Playoff action.

The Playoffs took the form of a tournament, with each MPS Centre hosting a different division across the league.

The competition was tight and the excitement was high. All of our teams competed well in their respective divisions, with several of our teams making it to the finals - congratulations to all our athletes!

Two of our HMHA teams brought home championship titles: Little Caesar's PeeWees brought home the A Championship, while HRC's PeeWees brought home the B Championship - congratulations to you both!

Congratulations to our Finalists and Champions below:

Below is a letter from the MPS Local League President, Clint Carleton, regarding the recent championship weekend:

On behalf of the Muskoka-Parry Sound Local League, I just wanted to say thank you to all involved in helping make our Championship Weekend run as smoothly as possible and say thank you to each and every team, player, parent or volunteer for your continued support of MPS Local League! It prides us to hopefully provide a combination of competitive and fun hockey for the young ladies and men of our area. All of our planning, and brainstorming means nothing however without the commitment of all of you.

Our MPSLL Executive has worked tirelessly these past years putting together what we hope is a growing and prospering league.  Nothing is perfect however and we always welcome feedback as we will continue to adjust if needed to make thing the best they can be for the majority.  There are always some bumps along the way but we will continue to evaluate. I, myself tried to touch base with parents and players alike this past weekend and most of the conversations I had were quite positive! Great to hear.

Don't forget to follow us on Facebook at    (or by searching the group MPS Local League) and at our home on the web at

Finally, congratulations to the following teams that brought home some "hardware" this weekend!!

MIDGET A - Parry Sound Tamarack North
MIDGET B - Parry Sound Dohertys Masonry
