There are several bursaries and awards as well as an essay contest for both players and volunteers being offered through OMHA currently. Please read on to find out some specifics and access the links to the full information and the application or nomination forms.

Post Secondary Bursaries:
OMHA has partnered with the Dairy Farmers of Ontario to present a Bursary Program for recognition of outstanding commitment to: Community Service, Athletics and Academics. There will be 5 Dairy Farmers Bursaries awarded of $8,000.00/each and up to 2 Wally Scott Bursaries, valued between $1,000.00 - $2,500.00/each. November 30th deadline. Essay Contest:
The Respect in Sport Group is presenting an essay contest with the theme: "I Love Hockey Because...." There will be OMHA Prize Packs for the top 4 finalists, with the Grand Prize Winner being awarded $1,000.00 worth of CCM gear. December 15th Deadline. OMHA Patricia Hartley Administrators Award:
This award is to recognize exemplary service in the field of sports administration of a local executive board member or volunteer staff person towards efficient operations of an association and betterment of hockey. OMHA Excellence in Development Award:
This award is to recognize an outstanding contribution to hockey development programming in minor hockey in any of the following areas: player development, coaching, officiating, safety or program administration. George Carver Media Award:
This award is to show appreciation for invaluable coverage of minor hockey by local media outlets. Deadline December 15th. For more information and to access the nomination form, please click on the below link:
