Important AE Information
Submitted By Kelly Farnsworth on Friday, September 6, 2019
Huntsville Minor Hockey would like to congratulate Brandon Janke as the new Head Coach for the Midget AE Otters Team for the upcoming season - welcome Brandon.

The following details are time sensitive regarding AE teams for the 2019-2020 season:

Atom and PeeWee:
-currently there are not enough players to support an AE team in these divisions - the final decision regarding icing an AE team in each of these divisions will be made at the final Rep tryout on Monday, September 9th - players released from the Rep team will either be released to AE (if numbers support) or Local League (if numbers dictate)
-if you have an interest in trying out in either of these divisions for a Rep/AE team, please make sure to contact Amanda Jones, HMHA Registrar at [email protected] to get on the list ASAP and allow the coaches time to properly plan their remaining tryouts with an accurate knowledge of numbers attending
Bantam and Midget:
-the current tryout numbers in both of these divisions support the icing of an AE team for the 2019-2020 season

FYI - after the first entry Rep team has formed their roster, the minimum number HMHA is looking at to form an AE team is 13 skaters and 1 goalie. It is preferable to have a full bench to be able to support an enjoyable season for everyone on the team, as a short bench becomes even shorter if a team experiences illness, injury or other absence of its players. As with all our decisions, we take into account all the information available to us prior to making a final decision.
