Huntsville Minor Hockey AGM March 21st

Plan to attend Huntsville Minor Hockey's Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, March 21st at 7:00pm, downstairs in the Active Living Centre.

During this meeting you can:
-ask questions regarding policies, procedures, decisions etc. that you may be unclear of
-bring helpful suggestions
-get informed
-vote for the 2018-2019 HMHA Executive
-get involved

Each family in attendance at the AGM, will receive a ballot for each child who was registered with HMHA for the 2017-2018 season - the winner will be awarded one free registration for the 2018-2019 season.

**We are looking for a Tyke/Initiation Coordinator for the upcoming season - this will be a newly designated role for this division (this is not an Executive position).

The following Executive Positions are open for nominations:
-Ice Convener/1st Vice President
-OMHA Representative/Rep Director/2nd Vice President
-Treasurer
-Secretary
-Registrar
-Tournament Convener
-Development Convener
-Local League Director
-Minor Officials Director
-Equipment Convener
-Referee Convener
-Sponsorship & Fundraising Convener

For a description of the duties for all Executive Positions, please refer to the HMHA Manual of Operations (Appendix A, pages 29-40), which can be found under the Policy and Procedures link in our Online Library.

For those unfamiliar with the process, each Executive Position (1 year term) will be opened up for nominations at the AGM (with the exception of President, as 2017-2018 was the first year of a two year term for Jeff Taylor). HMHA members (those who had children enrolled in the 2017-2018 season), can nominate a candidate for a position, the nomination will need to be seconded and if the individual consents to having their name stand the process continues until there are no more nominations put forth. If only one candidate is nominated and accepts, the individual will be acclaimed. If there are more than one nominated candidates that accept, a vote of the membership (1 ballot per registered player in 2017-2018) will take place and the individual with the most votes will be awarded the position.

Please give consideration to letting your name stand for nomination on our Executive - without volunteers willing to dedicate their time and energy to these positions, our organization cannot function to its potential and our players may suffer. Each and every one of the Executive positions is important and having a dedicated individual fill each position helps to ensure that our organization runs efficiently and all necessary details are covered in an attempt to facilitate a positive season for all of our players.
