HMHA to offer OMHA Trainers Program
Submitted By Shannon Lockwood on Sunday, October 22, 2017
HMHA is pleased to be hosting a OMHA Trainer's program which is a new interactive program for Trainers across all levels of hockey. It is also open to all other bench staff who would like to understand the Trainer's role better and their responsibilities.

HMHA takes our player's safety serious and would strongly recommend all HMHA trainers take advantage of this on-going education opportunity. Everyone is welcome to attend.

It will be held in the lower level of the Active Living Centre on Tuesday, November 14th from 7pm to 10pm.

The ACTION Clinic has been created as an on-going education opportunity for HTCP certified trainers to discuss important topics such as an effective Emergency Action Plan (EAP), identification of serious injuries, proper fitting of equipment, concussion education and Return to Play guidelines.

The ACTION Clinic also serves as a forum for Trainers to discuss trends, issues and specific situations they have experienced in their role as trainer. This clinic also provides other bench staff the ability to understand the trainers role and how to support them where needed.

There is no course testing involved. It is a round table discussion, role playing scenarios for discussion and open question period.

To register please email Shannon Lockwood at [email protected] ASAP to confirm attendance numbers as required.
