Atom BBs Win Regional Silver Stick!
Submitted By admin on Wednesday, December 9, 2015
The Huntsville Invisible Fence Atom Rep Otters had a big tournament win this past weekend in the Sudbury regional qualifier for the International Silver Stick.  A sluggish start on Friday resulted in a tie and a loss but the finish to the weekend was what mattered.  Saturday was a game against the Iroquois Falls Eskimos and the boys came out hard and fast with a convincing 6-0 win.  This set up a Sunday re-match in the semi-final in what has quickly become a heated rivalry with the Eskimos.

The drop of the puck produced action and excitement in a fast paced game with the Otters refusing to back down in a 5-2 win.  The final was only two hours later against the home team Nickel City Crushers who had the better of the Otters in the round robin.  The story line was set up perfectly for redemption and that is exactly what was on the menu.  In a game controlled by Otter possession and hard work the gold was won by the Otters in the first leg of the Silver Stick.  The team now has its sights set on the International Championship January 15-17 in Sarnia.

Way to go Otters!
