Successful Home Tournament
The Atom Otters were kept busy this weekend hosting their home tournament in both the Huntsville and Baysville arenas. Not only playing hockey the team put on a fantastic chilli lunch and bake sale at the Baysville arena and had an amazing silent auction table at the Summit Centre.
The Otters had the opportunity to play a total of 5 games this weekend. Playing the Pembroke Kings, Nickel City Flyers, Nickel City Sons , North Bay Trappers and the Elmvale Coyotes.
Coming away with 4 wins over 2 days the Otters made it to the semi finals against Elmvale. Unfortunately the Otters just didn't have enough steam and lost 3-0.
Congratulations to the Elmvale Coyotes who played the Erin Hillsburgh Devils in a very exciting final match and came away as the tournament championship winners.
A big shout out to ALL of our sponsors, hockey team, coaching staff, hockey parents, extended family and friends who worked so hard and helped make our tournament so successful.
Also a huge thank-you to Dawna Therrien and Lynn Digiacomo for the behind the scenes organizing and managing the weekend.
The Otters are away next weekend in Tillsonburg playing in the Roy Beechey Memorial Tournament.
