Get Out the Dustpans...because the Boys swept the Weekend.
The Atom Rep team had a very busy hockey schedule playing three games over the weekend.
The team travelled to Parry Sound for a Friday evening game against the Shamrocks. In a very close match, the Otters skated away with a 2-1 victory.
Saturday found the Otters hosting the Collingwood Blackhawks. Seeking redemption from their previous meeting. The Otters came on strong in the 1st period with 2 goals finding the back of the net. The Blackhawks responded by tying up the game. A nail-biting, back and forth battle found both teams lighting up the scoreboard in see-saw fashion. In the third the Otters found themselves down 4-3 when the game changing goal was tapped in by Cohen Poore. The 5th goal late in the third sealed the deal and the team came away with a very welcomed win against the Blackhawks.
Sunday found the Atom Reps travelling to Midland to battle the Centennials. This fast paced game showed what the team is capable of doing when they work together. Hard on the puck, hard-skating, applying pressure and playing smart, the weekend ended with a amazing 5-2 victory.
The team heads into "Turkey" weekend with two home games on Saturday and Sunday. In between the pumpkin pie come out and cheer on this fantastic group of boys!!! GO OTTERS GO!!!!
