Aubrey Percival Major Midget Tournament, 2013-2014 (Huntsville Minor Hockey)

The South Muskoka Bears are the Official Champions of the Aubrey Percival Major Midget Tournament. The Bears beat Stouffville 7-1. Congratulations to the South Muskoka Bears. We would like to thank all teams for participating and wish everyone a safe drive home.

Semi Final Game 9:30am South Muskoka Bears won vs  Mississippi Thunder Kings with the final score 5-1  Semi Final Game 10:00 am Stouffville won vs Erin Hillsbourogh  with the final score of 1-0 Championship Game set for 11:30am

This year the tournament is running with 12 teams instead of 10.  Although it is hard work for the group putting it on the results of the weekend is well worth the effort. Aubrey Percival was a fixture in Huntsville for years on the sports scene. He was one of the first people inducted into the Huntsville Sports Hall of Fame. He played on many championship teams in Intermediate Hockey and in 1961 was a Playing Coach on the All -Ontario Intermediate Mens Hockey squad.  He established and ran a power skating program for over twenty years never missing a day. He coached numerous minor hockey teams and was a member of the Huntsville Oldtimers who captured the world Championship in Holland in 1976. He gave his all and truly loves his town.

As things are progressing for the Aubrey Percival Major Midget Tournament the organizers are receiving Silent Auction Prizes daily.
