Who IS Aubrey Percival
Aubrey Percival was a fixture in Huntsville for years on the sports scene. He was one of the first people inducted into the Huntsville Sports Hall of Fame. He played on many championship teams in Intermediate Hockey and in 1961 was a Playing Coach on the All -Ontario Intermediate Mens Hockey squad. He established and ran a power skating program for over twenty years never missing a day. He coached numerous minor hockey teams and was a member of the Huntsville Oldtimers who captured the world Championship in Holland in 1976. He gave his all and truly loves his town.
In 2011 Huntsville Minor Hockey wanted to honour the contribution that Aubrey Percival has given to the sport and our minor association by naming the Major Midget Otter Tournament after him. Aubrey still resides in Huntsville with his family and we are lucky to have him present for the ceremonial face-off on the Friday 1pm Otter game.
