MPS Playoff Tournament Information
Huntsville Minor Hockey would like to welcome all Midget teams to the MPS Regional Playoff Weekend for both Midget A and Midget B Divisions being held at the Canada Summit Centre January 17-19.

There will be a Registration Desk set up in the Don Lough Lobby all weekend. At this desk you will find a scoreboard posted; you will fill out your gamesheets (we will be using egamesheets for the tournament); the Rules will be posted; and this is where you can ask questions should you have any.

We will be using both the Don Lough Arena and the Jack Bionda Arena throughout the weekend, with the majority of games played on the Don - please check the schedule so that you know which rink you are in.

Dressing Room Assignments will be posted on the TV screen in the entrance lobby of the Canada Summit Centre.

Please check the schedule to see whether your team will be the Home or the Visitor for each game. Home will wear their whites and Visitor will wear their darks. Each team should have both sets of jerseys available for all games in case there is a conflict.

Please follow the link to the MPS Rules and Tie Breaker in the below article so that you are familiar with both.

As these games are regular league playoff games, each team is responsible to post their scores at the completion of your games, just like in regular season. HMHA will also be posting the scores on our website in the tournament format, where you can see all scores from the tournament in one place.

Please note that all Round Robin Games will be 10-10-15 with no flood between the 2nd and 3rd period. The Championship Games will be 15-15-15 with a flood between the 2nd and 3rd period. The ice will also be flooded between each game.

To clarify Mercy Rule: Straight time will occur in the 3rd period of any game (including Championship) where the goal differential is 5. Stop time will be reinstituted if the differential becomes 3.

Best of luck to all teams!
