Invisible Fence Pee Wee Rep Otters win home tournament!!

This past weekend, the Huntsville Pee Wee Otters hosted their home tournament and on a snowy Sunday afternoon, hoisted the hardware as tournament champions.

The tournament started out against Kirkland Lake that saw the Kirlkand Lake goalie stopping rubber in every direction all game long. The Otters skated away with a decisive 4-0 win. The second game took place against the strong Elmvale squad and in a very close game, the Otters fell just short losing 5 -4. The third game was against the team from Caledonia with the Otters needing a win to carry on the next day. The Huntsville lads took on the challenge and won a hard fought battle by the score of 3-1.

Saturdays games set the table for the Sunday feast and the Otters did not disappoint. As most hockey people know, the teams of Midland have always been strong and well coached . This time however, the Huntsville team, led by Captain Hungerfords natural hattie, took the game 5-4 setting up for the championship match.

For the final game, the Otters had redemption on their minds against the Coyotes of Elmvale. Carter Durnan started the scoring from Cottrill and Dupuis and then followed that up with his second goal from Hildebrandt. It was then Graeme MacDougalls turn with a tip in goal off a great pass from Markle and then with time winding down Markle fed a pass to MacDougall who showed his great mitts with a deke and goal, sealing the Otters win and victory.

The Huntsville team would like to thank all the parents who helped out this weekend, as well to all of the sponsors this weekend and a very special thank you to the Team sponsor, Invisible Fencing for your generosity and commitment. It is truly appreciated by all.
