Nov 6 - Collingwood Blackhawks Mean Business6
The Sunday game was against another new opponent, the Collingwood Blackhawks.

Huntsville wasted no time introducing themselves.

At only 14:43 Cole Punchard said "Hello!" with a wrist shot blocker high for an early 1 - 0 Otters lead.

Apparently the visitors weren't impressed, scoring themselves a minutr after Parker Soberg-Dunn made not one but two good saves, failing to corral the third rebound.

A tripping call against Collingwood at 9:24 sent out the struggling ,Otters power play, which again came up empty.  The Blackhawks managed to sneak through the five hole a short handed trickling shot, at 7:38 to take a 2 - 1 lead.

Huntsville took a turn in the box at 6:56 for head contact, letting the penalty killers once again shine bright. Collingwood got nothing but some bruises from blocked clearing shots, after the one puck that snuck by Parker hit both posts and stayed out.

Huntsville tempted fate yet again with a too many men on the ice call at 1:31 but escaped the period only down a goal.

The second started off well, with Matt Clarke knocking down a Collingwood clearing attempt and passing to Ben Aben who  froze the Blackhawks goalie on a beautiful deke and tied it up at 13:40

Two minutes later the bad change bug bit the Otters again, coughing up a two on nothing breakaway the Blackhawks converted at 9:17

Huntsville took only 11 seconds to tie the score back up at three, with a nice shot from Cam Richardson.

The Blackhawks were undaunted, scoring not once but twice more in the second, both from odd bounces in the Otters end to take a 5-3 lead into the dressing room.

The Otters seemed flat in the third, giving up a third unanswered Collingwood goal at 5:34 after a long run of unfruitful play.   A Taylor Cottrill bullet from well out went off the cross bar and in at 0:43 was the extent of the comeback, leaving the home squad defeated 6-4.
