St. Mary's AE Tournament 2016 - Game Two
Game two early Saturday morning started with the coaches probably wondering where the coffee was.
A slow sloppy Huntsville start somehow managed to keep the game sheet clean for the entire first period.
The Ilderton Jets weren't getting any more traction than the Otters.
Period two was more of the same, with physical play from both teams and better passing, but no goals.
Period three finally went Huntsville's way.
Taylor Cottrill made a nice deke on the last defender and scored glove side low to get the Otters a 1-0 lead.
A Huntsville penalty mid period kept the fans nervous, but solid work kept the Jets off the board.
A last minute clearing attempt by Teagen Bennett finally brought smiles to fans and coaches alike when it found the empty net in the Ilderton end.
A 2-0 win to snap a four game winless streak, with the shutout going to Max Farr.
