Home and Home with Oro
The team played their first two exhibition games this weekend against the Oro Thunder and came away with a split.
There was no feeling out period in the first game. Both teams came out flying. Though Oro put the puck in the net multiples in the first our Otters never loss there composure and answered with their own multiple goal period in the second. Play went back and fourth in the third but when the dust settled it was the Thunder who took game one 9-7.
The Otters came back home for game two and it was a much different game. Tight defense seemed to be the focus for both teams. Though Oro scored the first goal with just over a minute left to play in the first, the Otters once again remained calm and worked together to score three goals in the remaining two periods and took the game. Huntsville 3-2 final.
Next game will be the season opener in Huntsville against Collingwood on Sept 26.
