Jim Wilson Classic Tourney a Success
The Atom Rep Otters travelled to Orillia to compete in the Jim Wilson Classic Tournament Nov 7th-Nov 9th.
A total of 86 teams participated over the weekend ranging from Novice Rep through to Bantam. Although the results of the game sheet showed the Atom Otters were defeated twice over the weekend. The hard work and total team dedication showed up on the ice surface. The Atom Rep team found themselves up against higher ranked Atom teams and the boys held their own coming back from a 2-0 deficient, to tie it up in the third against Grimsby.
Unfortunately Grimsby found the back of the net and came away with a 3-2 victory.
The boys moved forward on Saturday and faced Coppercliff. In one of the best games of the season the team kicked it up a notch and worked together challenging Coppercliff in a fantastic back and forth battle. The team held on and came away with an impressive 6-5 victory.
Sunday found the team duelling again with Grimsby. The team just didn't have enough gas in their tanks and came away with a heartbreaking loss.
The Atom Reps head into the weekend with two away games against the Halliburton Storm on Saturday and Collingwood Blackhawks on Sunday.
