Minor Midgets Move On in OMHA Playoffs
The Minor Midget Otters put the South Muskoka Bears away this past Friday with an authoritative 6-0 win to move on in the OMHA playoffs. The Bears Had 3 points to the Otters 5 points going into the Friday game, and the first to 6 points would win the series.  Each game the Otters continued to improve as they had to claw back from a 3 point to 1 point deficit from the first two games in the series.

This game saw the most action in the penalty box as the Bears racked up 42 minutes in penalties to the Otters 18 minutes.  Over half of the Bears penalties were in the third period when the game was just too far out of reach for them to make a come back.  The Otters on the other hand racked up their penalty minutes in the First and second period.  Fans would expect that Coach Rocky Clarke may have had a few words with the Otters during the intermission to advise them to keep out of the sin bin, as most of the Otter penalties were retaliation in nature.

The Otter goals started in the first period and continued until the last 30 seconds of the third period without the Bears making the scoreboard once. Otter points were awarded to the following players;  Christopher Hudson, Ryan Brunskill, Jared Stevens, Dalton Boothby, Marshall Clarke and Joshua Zantingh all scored singles with Nathan Zantingh  have 4 Assists, Jordan Dobson and Walker Veitch each had one assist.

Presently the Minor Midget Otters are waiting for the Lincoln Blades and Erin Hillsborough to finish their series to see which team we will be facing for the semi final in the OMHA BB Minor Midget Playoffs. Lincoln is leading that series 2 -0.
