Atom AE Otter's Win MPS Tournament
Atom AE Otters.....your mission if you choose to accept it. Play with skill, play with confidence and play with heart and that is exactly what they did.
The team had an absolutely fantastic weekend hosting and playing at the MPS Playdowns . Going head to head with their four rival teams. The South Muskoka Bears, North Muskoka Lightning, Port Carling Thunder and the Haliburton Storm.
A Friday evening game found the Otter's facing the Port Carling Thunder. The team got the job done and came away with a 8-0 win.
Saturday found the AE's facing the South Muskoka Bears and the North Muskoka Lightening. Both games found the Otter's full of confidence and determination. With amazing offensive, defensive and phenomenal goal-tending. The Otter's had back to back wins. A 4-2 win against the Bears and a 7-0 win against the Lightning.
Sunday morning found the AE's challenging the Haliburton Storm. This fast paced game found the entire crowd on the edge of their seats. The Otter's dominated the game with constant pressure and multiple shots on net. Haliburton's goalie would just not grant the Otter's a goal. In one of the best games of the season the team gave it their all but came away with a very close 1-0 loss.
Heading into the tournament final. The Otter's found themselves tangling with the North Muskoka Lightning. The Otters again were on fire and were playing for keeps. Hard work, determination and passion led them to an action packed 1-0 win. Congratulation's AE's you played as a team and came out as champions.
