South Muskoka Jamboree Rules
2014 South Muskoka Jamboree Welcome all teams to our fun weekend. Games will be held in Gravenhurst and Bracebridge arenas. Please check the schedule carefully to make sure you are at the right arena.

The rules are as follows:

There will be absolutely NO contact in this tournament.

All teams will play in point system games; 2 points for a win, 1 for a tie, 0 for a loss. There is no overtime in the initial round, ties stand.

All games will be 3-10 minute periods.

Please try to be ready 15 minutes prior to your game start time, in case we are running ahead of schedule.

Teams have been randomly placed into divisions within each age group.

Ø  One Novice team in each division with the most points will go straight to a final game.

Ø  The top team in each of the three Atom divisions will advance to a semi-final; the forth team (wild card) will be the team with the next highest points

Ø  Pee Wee and Bantam top teams will automatically advance to the final; teams in 2nd and 3rd place will playoff in a semi-final where the winner will advance to the final.

Ties will be broken as per a computer scoring system on our website; by average goals for and against, we may also take into consideration penalty minutes.

If the Semi-final or Championship game ends in a tie; teams will play 3 on 3 for 4 minutes, running your lines until sudden victory. If still tied, there will be a shootout, sudden victory; no player may shoot twice until all players have shot.

Each player will receive a gift for the tournament. The winners will be presented the trophy for picture opportunities. Please return the trophy to a tournament official following your game.

There will be no lunch provided due to area restrictions.

All decisions for the weekend will be made by the House League Convenor or his/her delegates.

All decisions are final.

Reminder to everyone… This is a fun weekend.

Please respect all players, volunteers and officials, and… have a good time!
