Senior House League -
Are you willing to help make it a memorable year? We are still in need of coaches/assistants to make this year a success. The program is only as good as the committement of the players and the volunteers who run it. Thank you to the ones that have stepped up so far. We have three teams which means we need atleast 3 coaches and assistants for each group. If you can;'t take it all on yourself - find a buddy - these kids are depending on you!
Next Skate
Just a reminder your player will be skating on Sunday, September 23rd - evaluations are continuing in order to make teams of equal calibre. Ice time is from 7 til 9 pm.
Practice and Game or 2 Games per week
Lots of emails and talk at the arena as to what you and your player want to see in SHL - please complete the poll on the SHL webpage to have your say.
Interlock
As you all know there are currently three teams for Senior House League, We have had a meeting to discuss interlock with South Muskoka, Almaguin and us. Andy Cooke our REM for the OMHA chaired this meeting. Interlock would allow each team in Huntsville to play a game each week. It would also allow the other centres with fewer teams to have some variety in their play. What I need from you as parents and players is:
Feed back regarding inerlock - yes or no - there is a poll currently set up on the Senior House League site
How far you are will to travel - this poll will be set up sometime this evening
Missing Jerseys
Please check your hockey bags for last years house league jerseys, they are not to keep! We are missing several. If you have one please return to a coach on the ice this weekend and they will place in the equipment room.
As always email your questions and concerns. I will be at the rink Sunday before the skate but will not be there for the whole 2 hours.
