Huntsville Minor Hockey AE Teams
Submitted By Kelly Farnsworth on Friday, August 16, 2019
HMHA is still searching for someone to step forward and submit a coaching application for the head coach (or co-coach) position for PeeWee AE and Midget AE for the upcoming season.

The coach application form will remain open on our website (under the Coaches Corner link) until midnight Tuesday, September 10th (the day after final releases from the PeeWee Rep and Major Midget teams). This will allow for any parents who may be interested in coaching one of the AE teams, but are uncertain if their player will be offered a spot on the first entry team, a chance to come forward and apply. Please give this some thought in advance, as if you wait until then, decisions will need to be made quickly to get the season planning rolling.

Even though we do not have coaches in place at this time for two AE teams, please be certain to register your player and sign up for tryouts if they intend to tryout in any division, with the hopes of making either the Rep or AE team. If players do not attend Rep tryouts, they are ineligible to attend AE tryouts. Additionally, if we don't have tryout numbers registered by September 3rd (first tryout date) to support two teams in any division, we will need to assess the viability of a second entry team. There will need to be enough kids signed up for tryouts by the first night to ice two teams, or there will not be an AE team in that division. If your player is interested, get them signed up for tryouts, don't wait to see if there will be space on the AE team and hope to be recruited and join without attending tryouts. It will be too late, as there will not be a team to be recruited to. Please get signed up to avoid disappointment!

**JUST A REMINDER THAT NEW THIS YEAR, WE ARE CLOSING REGISTRATION AT MIDNIGHT AUGUST 30. ANYONE THAT REGISTERS AFTER THIS DATE WILL BE PLACED ON A WAITING LIST AND SPOTS WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE TO ADD THESE LATE REGISTRATIONS IF THE PARTICULAR DIVISION/TEAMS HAVE SPACE. DON'T DELAY-GET REGISTERED TODAY!
