Mandatory Checking Clinic
Submitted By Kelly Farnsworth on Friday, August 10, 2018
Huntsville Minor Hockey will be hosting a mandatory checking clinic for all first time Bantams wishing to tryout for Rep/AE this season.

The clinic will be held on Wednesday, August 29 and Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 7-9pm on the Don Lough. Make sure to get signed up for the clinic by August 23, 2018.

No first time Bantams will be permitted to attend tryouts without attending this clinic!!

Any first year bantam MUST attend the checking clinic as a prerequisite for attending Bantam Rep/AE tryouts (this includes any second year bantam that either did not attend the checking clinic with HMHA in August 2017 or play a full year of bantam hockey in a division with body checking).

Preference will be given to all first time Bantams, after that spaces will be given to any second year Bantams wishing to attend. If spaces are still available, they will be open to any Midget aged players who are interested. The extra spaces will be filled on a first come first serve basis up until the August 23rd cut off date. Make sure to get signed up in time.

Bantams can sign up directly with Registration. Any others (or Bantams who may have missed signing up through Registration) can do so through Kyle Shirtliff. Additionally, any questions regarding the clinic can be directed to Kyle. Contact him via email:  [email protected]

The safety of our players is a priority for HMHA, as it is for OMHA. This checking clinic prior to tryouts for players who do not have checking experience is an attempt to help our Bantams safely prepare for tryouts and an upcoming season in a body checking division.
