The Aquadome Novice Rep Otters competed over the weekend in the MPS Playoff Tournament and came home with the championship.

Four games in two days is tough for anyone but these 7 & 8 year olds didn’t back away from the challenge!

Starting with South Muskoka early Saturday morning got the men off to a great start with a 5-3 win.  The little Otters worked together to win over Muskoka Rock 13-2 and set their sights on the host Parry Sound for the evening game.  Parry Sound came out of the gate hard and took a 1-0 lead early in the first and put the men on their heels!  Both team’s battled going goal for goal but the Otters pulled away in the 2nd & 3rd with five unanswered goals to win 8-3.

The Otters went home not knowing who they would meet in the finals as Parry Sound and South Muskoka were tied but when the round robin was complete, Parry Sound was in.

Sunday’s game started off with a bang, the Otters put in 5 unanswered goals in the 1st and didn’t look back, winning 9-4 to bring home the MPS trophy.  Their hard work paid off but they know the work is just beginning as we face off with the Shamrocks for a home and home starting this Sunday!

Congratulations Otters!
